What: Exploring the Evidence Based Treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Related Disorders (OCRD) 4 CEs for Licensed Psychologists
When: Friday, March 28; 9:00 am to 1:15 pm
Where: Anderson Center, 7850 Five Mile Road, Cincinnati, OH 45230
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is one of the most prevalent mental health conditions, often taking root in childhood or adolescence. Unfortunately, despite being common, individuals typically experience a significant delay—averaging 14 to 17 years—before receiving appropriate care. This workshop aims to bridge that gap by equipping participants with the knowledge and tools necessary for early identification and effective treatment of OCD and related disorders (OCRDs).
Participants will be provided with case examples, enhancing their ability to recognize the nuances of OCD and OCRD treatment. This will be an informative and interactive session designed to empower mental health professionals to better serve individuals struggling with OCD and related disorders, promoting faster access to care and improved patient outcomes.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the characteristics and development of OCD and related disorders.
- Recognize the signs and symptoms to facilitate early intervention.
- Explore evidence-based treatment options and strategies for effective care.
- Analyze case examples to enhance assessment and treatment planning skills.

Building Resilience Together & Creating Bridges for Connection
Workshop Description: This in-person workshop equips psychologists with tools to navigate evolving practice demands. Participants will also gain advocacy training, teaching psychologists how to engage with their representatives, and provide direct access to the state representative on key committees, including Medicaid, Health, and Finance. Inspired in part by APA CEO Arthur Evans JR, PhD’s call to “take psychology to the next level” this workshop empowers clinicians to expand their impact through advocacy and care.
This workshop is a special presentation offered at a reduced rate to support psychologists navigating evolving practice demands, fostering connection within the field, and equipping them with tools to build confidence in the face of change.
