Hope and Learning: Our Journey with Schizophrenia

For those who are attending dinner and program:

Please plan on joining us at 6 pm for networking.  Buffet will open at 6:20 pm and the program begins promptly at 7:00 pm so we can end at 9:00 pm.  This event provides 2 CEs for licensed psychologists.  Please remember to sign in when you arrive on the registration sheets where you will pick up your name tag. 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Recovery from Schizophrenia is not only possible, but probable.
  2. Early identification of Schizophrenia is difficult but important
  3. Misunderstandings about Schizophrenia can interfere with treatment
  4. Resources are available to help family and individuals coping with Schizophrenia


Linda Snow-Griffin, Ph.D.  retired 4 years ago after thirty years from her private psychology practice in West Chester, Ohio. She worked with children and adults and specialized in hypnosis, trauma, and cognitive interventions. She has been active in the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and the Cincinnati Society of Clinical Hypnosis. She is a member of the Cincinnati Academy of Professional Psychology, Ohio Psychological Association, and the American Psychological Association. She served for seven years on the Butler County Mental Health Board. Prior to living in Ohio, she directed the counseling center at Eckerd College and was a staff psychologist and EAP Director at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Since retiring, she published a book about her experiences as a psychologist and a parent of an adult son with schizophrenia called Hope and Learning, Our Journey with Schizophrenia. Her goal is to continue to be a mental health advocate, particularly for those with schizophrenia


**We ask that anyone who is not feeling well, or who has had a recent exposure, please stay home and reach out to Laura to discuss refund options (capp@cappnet.org).   **The event space is large and easily allows for social distancing. Masks are optional but we promise no judgement. There are program-only tickets available without dinner and show up at 6:50 for the program, which begins promptly at 7 pm.**Event staff who work the buffet will be masked and gloved.  In addition, we will be calling tables up one at a time.
