November 4 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$40.00 – $90.00Description: Self-acceptance and self-compassion are key components of ego strength and are foundational for working through emotional material that arises in treatment. This dinner meeting will focus on Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), a program developed by psychologists Kristin Neff, Ph.D., and Christopher Germer, Ph.D. We will focus on specific practices that can be taught to clients to help them develop skills for working with emotions in therapy and in life. This presentation will focus on adults.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn about Mindful Self Compassion and its research-based impact for adults.
- Learn Mindful Self Compassion practices that you can immediately implement with your patients.
- Learn considerations and risks for clients choosing to attend mindfulness or Mindful Self-Compassion classes or retreats.
