Psychopharmacology: Tailoring Treatment Through the Lifespan

Dr. Pedapati is a consultant psychiatrist who has practiced in the Cincinnati area for over a decade across outpatient and inpatient settings. He is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He is board certified in Child Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine. He also runs an NIH funded research lab focused on next-generation treatments including new medications and transcranial magnetic stimulation.

This talk concentrates on the psychiatric diagnosis and psychopharmacology across the lifespan, tailored for clinical psychologists working in tandem with psychiatrists. We will explore psychiatric medications commonly used to treat mental health conditions from childhood through older adulthood. Participants will come away with a deeper understanding of how to integrate clinical psychology practices with medication management for optimized patient care through all life stages.
