Goals/objectives
State what has changed as it relates to biennial registration.
Be able to articulate the State Board’s new rules pertaining to supervision.
Explain at least three new rules related to Professional Conduct.
Cite to at least two laws outside of the Psychology Code that directly impact the practice of psychology in Ohio.
This workshop will allow psychologists to obtain the 4 hours of ethics training required by the State Board of Psychology each biennium. An emphasis will be placed on addressing the most recent changes to the State Board of Psychology’s rules. Related statutes will be addressed. Using a combination of didactic presentation and case vignettes, this won’t be a typical ethics workshop. It’s designed to be engaging, informative and practical. As noted by the State Board of Psychology in 2015: “Although several rules were not amended and there were some technical and cosmetic corrections, many rules have undergone significant substantive changes. ” By the end of this workshop, you’ll know what those changes are and how they impact you and your practice.
